A simple Smartwaiver alternative for small businesses

Smartwaiver is a well-established digital waiver platform used by many studios, gyms, and rental businesses. It recently changed its subscription prices, so some small businesses are taking a fresh look at their options. This page lays out the publicly listed prices for a few popular tools side by side, explains where WaiverGo fits, and is honest about where other tools may suit you better.

WaiverGo is in early access and coming soon. Our angle is simple: one flat price of $12/month or $99/year, unlimited waivers with no usage fees, and a free import of the waiver you already use.

What changed at Smartwaiver

According to Smartwaiver’s pricing update article on support.smartwaiver.com, new prices took effect on October 8, 2026. The Basic monthly plan moved from $19 to $22, Growth from $37 to $41, and Starter from $55 to $60. The Basic annual plan moved from $194 to $210.

Price changes are a normal part of running a software business, and Smartwaiver’s plans include a broad set of features. If you are happy with what you have, staying put may be the right call. If you are reviewing costs anyway, it helps to compare what you actually use against what you pay for.

Where other tools may be a better fit

We want this comparison to be useful, so here is the honest version. Waiver.com’s Starter plan, at $9/month for unlimited waivers at one location, is cheaper than WaiverGo. If lowest price is your only criterion, it is worth a look.

Smartwaiver also offers features WaiverGo does not, such as dedicated kiosk apps and integrations with other software. If your front desk depends on a kiosk app, or you need waivers to sync automatically with a booking or CRM system, a fuller platform like Smartwaiver may serve you better.

Where WaiverGo fits

WaiverGo is built for small businesses that want waivers to be simple and predictable:

  • One flat price: $12/month flat or $99/year. Unlimited waivers. No usage fees or per-signature charges.
  • Free import: send us your current waiver as a PDF or text once early access opens, and we’ll set it up for you.
  • Simple sharing: customers sign on their own phone from a link or QR code.
  • Searchable records: signed copies are stored and searchable, with downloadable signed PDFs.

You supply your own waiver text. WaiverGo is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice.

How to switch without starting over

Switching waiver tools does not have to mean rewriting your form. Export or save a copy of your current waiver text, join the WaiverGo early-access list, and send us the document when early access opens. We set it up with your wording and business name, and you can start sharing your new link or QR code.

Keep copies of waivers already signed in your previous tool. Most platforms let you download signed PDFs, and it is wise to keep those records according to your own retention needs and your attorney’s advice.

Frequently asked questions

Is WaiverGo cheaper than Smartwaiver?

Based on prices listed on vendor sites in October 2026, WaiverGo’s $12/month flat plan costs less than Smartwaiver’s Basic plan at $22/month. Smartwaiver includes features WaiverGo does not, such as kiosk apps and integrations. Prices may change, so check each vendor’s site.

Is WaiverGo the cheapest waiver tool?

No. Waiver.com lists a Starter plan at $9/month with unlimited waivers for one location, which is lower than WaiverGo. WaiverGo focuses on a flat $12/month price, unlimited waivers, no usage fees, and a free import of your current waiver.

Can I bring my existing Smartwaiver form?

Yes. Once early access opens, send us your waiver text or a PDF and we’ll set it up in WaiverGo for free. The import keeps the text you supply; it does not include legal review.

Does WaiverGo have a kiosk app or integrations?

Not at this time. Customers sign on their own phone using a link or QR code. If you rely on a kiosk app or software integrations, a platform that offers them may be a better fit.

Is WaiverGo available now?

WaiverGo is coming soon and accepting early-access waitlist signups. Joining is free, with no payment details required.
